Introduction

Introduction of the Prison/Jail: - It is situated at Loharapalli Village of Raj Khariar, Dist-Nuapada. The distance from Khariar Bus stand is about 4km and 70 Km from the Dist. Headquarter Nuapada. It is the highest capacity jail of Nuapada Dist. It is under the Jurisdiction of Circle Jail, Koraput.

History of Jail

This jail was inaugurated on 12.01.2009 and started functioning from 04.12.2009.

Facilities

The prisoners are provided all facilities as per O.J.M. Besides this they are also provided Telephone Facilities, Legal Aid assistance to the all needy prisoners.
For entertainment they have been provided Television, Sports materials like volley Ball, Carom, Ludo and Chess etc. They are allowed Newspaper.
Different religious organization are also coming to this jail and provide their valuable speech for recreation of their mind.
Visitor’s rooms are also available for the family member of the inmates who visited to the jail for interview purpose.
